This is a picture I drew for my Young Woman's group. She is a knight, fighting for good and right with her staff of light. It features all of our values, plus flowers I think represent the values.
The Values are as follows:
Choice and Accountability
Here are the my corresponding Flowers:
Lily: Lilies are found growing at the edge of swamps and marshes. They blossom out of mud and muck; very much similar to the way Faith can blossom even surrounded by the filth and sins of the world. All that we need to do is put down strong roots, like the lily.
Crocus: Crocuses are one of the first flowers of spring. They poke their little heads right out of the snow and bloom, showing their beautiful petals. Likewise, girls with Divine Nature show it, poking their heads through the monotony and the clichés of the world, and showing forth their true self.
Rose: A rose bush with no roses on it looks empty and bare and thorny. But a bush with roses galore is beautiful. In a bouquet and in a bush, every rose is beautiful, and together, they create something beautiful. It’s the same way with Individual Worth. Each person is beautiful, and everyone is needed.
Ivy: Ivy is like knowledge because it is always growing, and it can’t grow very tall or far without something to lean on, something to guide it. Knowledge needs someone to nurture it, and to help it along, or else it can’t get very far.
Tiger lily: A tiger lily has two parts to it that grow together, one good, one bad. Which part will you choose? The Tiger, or the Lily? The Good, or the Bad? Choice and Accountability shows us the difference, like the Tiger Lily.
Sunflower: Sunflowers follow the sun with their faces, turning so that they always face the sun. By serving others with Good Works, we too, can follow the Son.
Orchid: Orchids are delicate, exotic flowers. They also are very picky flowers. If the conditions aren’t exactly the way they need it to grow, orchids will wither away. It’s the same with Integrity. You always need to keep it safe, because even the littlest thing can compromise your integrity, there is no fence sitting.
Goldenrod: Goldenrods point up to Heaven, all the flowers facing toward our Father. It is also symbolic of the Iron rod, which, by using our Virtue, we cling to, with the hopes of reaching Heaven someday.
If anyone has any questions about this, then please feel free to ask!
